Nick Baty, 47, went to the aid of a boy who collapsed after drinking with pals in a car park.

The father of one was allegedly attacked by Joseph Thomas, 17, who threw him to the ground and stamped on his head.

He died a month later when his life support was turned off. Cardiff Crown Court Cardiff Crown Court is a historic building situated in Cardiff's Civic Centre, Cathays Park.  heard Thomas left Mr Baty in a pool of blood - and bragged to a friend about what he had done.

He told police Mr Baty was "drunk and threatening" and said he acted in self-defence. Thomas, now 18, denies murder.

The trial continues.
