'SUICIDE' MUM HELD AFTER GIRL, 4, KILLED.Byline: RICHARD SMITH A MUM was arrested on suspicion of murdering her four-year-old daughter yesterday after she was found lying next to her body. The tragic discovery was made by the woman's 12-year-old son. Little Zoe-Ann David was David Was (born David Weiss, 26 October 1952, Detroit) is, with his stage-brother Don Was, the founder of the influential 1980s pop group, Was (Not Was). Reviewed by The New York Times found by her brother Wesley when he came home from school at lunch-time. She was lying beside mum Zoe, 34, who had serious arm injuries after it is thought she may have tried to commit suicide. Neighbour Lisa Davies said: "She was a single mother who seemed to dote on her children. She appeared like a lovely person but kept herself to herself." Zoe-Ann was described by neighbours as "a sweet little thing", who was "always smiling on her way to school". A neighbour added: "It's a terrible tragedy for a young child to die like that." The family had lived in the house in Newport, Gwent, for more than two years after moving from London, where ZoeAnn's dad is believed to still live. Police were called to the scene by paramedics before Zoe was taken to Royal Gwent Hospital The Royal Gwent Hospital is the principal hospital in the city of Newport and the ancient county of Monmouthshire. It is located on Cardiff Road near the city centre. The buildings on the present site were opened on August 5 1901 on land donated by Godfrey Morgan, 1st Viscount for treatment. Police said: "She has been arrested on suspicion of murder. "A forensic examination of the property is continuing.
