'Rogue' Palin memoir shoots to top of Amazon list

Former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin's memoir memoir

History or record composed from personal observation and experience. Closely related to autobiography, a memoir differs chiefly in the degree of emphasis on external events.
, "Going Rogue: An American Life," shot to the top of Amazon's bestseller list Thursday even before being published.

The book is due to be released November 17 by HarperCollins.

However, early orders were already enough for the title to top the online book selling giant's list, ahead of a polemic po·lem·ic

His radio show, The Glenn Beck Program, is syndicated by 267 radio stations and on XM Satellite Radio channel 165 talk radio, which airs from 9 am to 12 pm(ET).  and Dan Brown's latest thriller.

Palin, who recently resigned as governor of Alaska, is a darling of the Republican right and seen as a potential challenger for the White House at the end of President Barack Obama's first term.

HarperCollins said this week that the book had been finished early so that it could make it into stores ahead of the Christmas holiday shopping season.

Palin's memoir is followed on the Amazon list by Beck's "Arguing with Idiots: How to Stop Small Minds and Big Government," Brown's "The Lost Symbol," and a how-to book titled "How to Survive the End of the World as We Know It."
