We were under a bit of pressure because of not winning at the Millennium Stadium UEFA 5-star rated football stadia

and that 125-year statistic that people kept saying that we would be labelled the worse team in history.

It's been a very frustrating frus·trate

time for the lads and now we have put a few things to rest we can just get on with building for the future with the younger lads coming though.

John Robinson Several notable individuals have been named John Robinson: Politicians
  • John Robinson (1650-1723) (1650-1723), English diplomat; later Bishop of Bristol from 1710 and Lord Privy Seal from 1711-1713
We had chances to win by four or five clear goals, but the pleasing thing about the game was the way we created chances.

Five minutes after we scored I told the two lads either side of me not to go anywhere and stay central and not to go chasing balls out wide.

That way they had to go around us and not through us. We can build on this result now, it was vital for everyone concerned that we won this game.

- Mark Pembridge Mark Anthony Pembridge (born November 29, 1970) is a former footballer whose favoured position was the left side of midfield. He won numerous caps for Wales. He is currently a coach at the academy for Fulham.  I think the problem we've had during this campaign is that we've often made it hard for ourselves as a team.

I know it doesn't do any good to go over where we could have done better, but we haven't always taken our opportunities, and that's the frustrating thing.

Even on Saturday, we didn't kill off Belarus when we could have been three or four up, and we had to hang on a bit more than we should have at the end.

- Gary Speed Gary Speed (born September 8, 1969 in Mancot, Flintshire) is a Welsh footballer, who plays in midfield. He is currently playing for Bolton Wanderers, after a £750,000 switch from Newcastle United in July 2004.  We were pleased with the performance and our only disappointment was only winning by one goal. Not many people would have complained at a 4-0 or 5-0 score-line.

Our performances have been coming and it's no surprise to us that this result was coming and hopefully there will be more to come.

We created so many chances and only scored one goal, that has been the story of our campaign really.

Mark Delaney Mark Anthony Delaney (born May 13, 1976 in Haverfordwest) is a former Wales international footballer who played for Carmarthen Town F.C., Cardiff City F.C. and Aston Villa F.C. as a right back.
