'QUICK-FIXES UNHEALTHY'.

ONE in four people are using food supplements as a "quick-fix" to an unhealthy diet, a conference warned yesterday.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland held a meeting in Dublin to educate people about the possible consequences of relying on vitamin and mineral pills.

A spokesman said: "It is interesting to note that while almost one quarter of us take supplements, very few take folic acid folic acid: see coenzyme; vitamin.
