'Prayers for chef useless' MISSING.A LABOUR councillor is under fire after claiming it was "pointless" praying for missing Claudia Lawrence. Paul Blanchard suggested on his Facebook page that the chef's disappearance three weeks ago near York University York University, at North York, Ont., Canada; nondenominational; coeducational; founded 1959 as an affiliate of the Univ. of Toronto, became independent 1965. was "part of God's plan". He said: "Of all the pointless things to do, praying wins the prize. Time would be better spent looking for her, surely." A friend of the Lawrence family said they drew strength from prayers. Cllr Blanchard, an atheist ATHEIST. One who denies the existence of God. 2.
