'Please bring Charlie home to us...'.

WE want our bunny back! The Wake family made an appeal after thieves stole their pet rabbit.

Raiders struck while the family, of Westbourne Grove, Teesville, slept.

They somehow managed to remove a hefty three-seat garden swing from the family back garden.

But what has really left the Wakes reeling is the theft of their pet rabbit, Charlie.

Mum Nicola said: "I looked out of Ellie's bedroom window and noticed the door was open to the playhouse.

"Then I went down and found Charlie was gone." It's believed the thieves took Charlie out of his hutch on Wednesday night and carried him away in his Spiderman food bin, which is now also missing.

A pink plate where Charlie's fruit and veg is usually kept was probably used as a lid to keep him in the bin during the theft..

The plate was found discarded in the street.
