The unnamed divorced dad-of-one, 41, allegedly told suspects they would not be charged if they met his wants. The officer - formerly based in Newcastle upon Tyne's Market Street before moving to cover Bedlington, Northumberland - is on police bail and suspended as the Independent Police Complaints Commission investigates.
