'PANCHO' BARNES TALK IS SET.Byline: Daily News PALMDALE- Author Barbara Schultz will talk about aviator Florence ``Pancho'' Barnes as the third installment in the Palmdale Playhouse's Distinguished Speaker Series at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Schultz wrote a biography of Barnes, who set flying records in the 1920s and 1930s and who later operated a dude ranch known as the Happy Bottom Riding Club The Happy Bottom Riding Club, more formally known as the Rancho Oro Verde Fly-Inn Dude Ranch, was a dude ranch restaurant and hotel operated by Pancho Barnes on the site of current-day Edwards Air Force Base in southern California's Antelope Valley, in the southwestern part .
