Eight poets submitted poems in strict metre or free verse on the subject of Forward. But adjudicators Hywel Griffiths and Karen Owen decided none were worthy of the chair donated by the National Library of Wales. Ms Owen said: None of the poems satisfactorily combine clear ideation ideation /ide·a·tion/ (i?de-a´shun) the formation of ideas or images.idea´tional i·de·a·tion n. The formation of ideas or mental images. with masterful technique. Unfortunately therefore there will be no winner this year. However we are confident that a number of today''s competitors can win the Eisteddfod chair in the future. Eisteddfod director Aled Sion said: Keeping standards high is of the utmost importance. "We are, of course, disappointed that there is no winner but we are grateful to the adjudicators for their work.
