'Nama or nothing for Fianna Fail' POLITICS.Byline: MIRROR REPORTER THE Government is "stubborn" and refuses to listen to advice about setting up bad bank Nama, Fine Gael Fine Gael (fē`nə gāl), Irish political party. Formed in 1933, it was the successor of the party founded by William Cosgrave that held power from the creation of the Irish Free State in 1922 until ousted by the republican Fianna claimed yesterday. The party's enterprise spokesman Leo Varadkar Leo Varadkar is an Irish Fine Gael politician. He is currently a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin West constituency. He was elected in the 2007 general election and is now the enterprise spokesman for Fine Gael. said: "Neither the Taoiseach nor Minister for Finance are prepared to tolerate an open and honest debate on the solution to the banking crisis. "While they are prepared to engage with Opposition on amendments or improvements to the Nama proposal they are not prepared to discuss alternative options."
