'NEW PERSPECTIVE' EXHIBIT AT COLLEGE'S ART GALLERY SHOWCASING WORKS OF FACULTY.

LANCASTER - Three Antelope Valley College Antelope Valley College is a comprehensive community college located in Lancaster, California, USA. It is operated by the Antelope Valley Community College District, with a primary service area of 1,945 square miles covering portions of Los Angeles and Kern counties.  faculty members are showing paintings and travel photographs in the college art gallery's new exhibit, ``A New Perspective.''

Featured are paintings by art instructors Maya Gohill and David Babb and travel photographs from Dennis White, dean of fine and performing arts.

``They're really kind of magnificent,'' said Babb of White's photographs.

Babb described his own work as close-up depictions of insects and plants.

``My drawings deal with kind of a botanical bo·tan·i·cal   also bo·tan·ic

In addition to teaching, Babb is also the new art gallery director, replacing Pat Hinds Hinds may refer to:

``I'd like to take the good things Pat Hinds did ... and just kind of build on it, make it a fun and exciting place to have art,'' said Babb. Babb came from Idaho, where he worked as curator CURATOR, persons, contracts. One who has been legally appointed to take care of the interests of one who, on account of his youth, or defect of his understanding, or for some other cause, is unable to attend to them himself.

``A New Perspective'' runs through Oct. 31 at the gallery, 3041 W. Ave. K. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Admission is free. For more information, call (661) 722-6395.
