'NAZI' MURDER TRIAL.


AN ALLEGED former Nazi death camp guard who is accused of taking part in the murders of 29,000 Jews is set to be deported from the US to Germany on Monday to face trial.

John Demjanjuk John Demjanjuk (born Ivan Demjanjuk on 3 April, 1920[1] in Dubovye Makharintsy, Kiev Oblast, USSR), is a retired auto worker who emigrated to the United States from Europe in 1951. , a Ukrainian immigrant who turns 89 today, was sentenced to death in 1988 after being convicted of war crimes, but the sentence was later dropped. He will be taken to a prison or prison hospital to await trial for alleged crimes committed at the Sobibor camp in Nazi-occupied Poland, the German Justice Ministry said yesterday.

Demjanjuk says he is in bad health and the deportation deportation, expulsion of an alien from a country by an act of its government. The term is not applied ordinarily to sending a national into exile or to committing one convicted of crime to an overseas penal colony (historically called transportation).  is inappropriate and degrading..
