'Miles apart' on bid for striker; BURNLEY: FOOTBALL SHORTS.


PREMIER League newcomers Burnley have lodged an official bid for Swansea's Jason Scotland Jason Kelvin Scotland (born February 18, 1979 in Morvant, Trinidad and Tobago) is a Trinidadian footballer who plays as a striker for Welsh club Swansea City. Career , the Coca-Cola Championship club have confirmed.

, revealed the Clarets had bid more than pounds 1m for the Welsh club's 24- goal top scorer. Chairman Huw Jenkins told the club's official website: "Burnley have made an approach for Jason Scotland, but our valuation for a player who has finished our top scorer for the last two seasons is miles apart.

"We value Jason very highly; after all he has scored 53 goals in the last two seasons for us."
