'MY FRIEND KELLY-ANN HAD A HEART OF GOLD & THE VOICE OF AN ANGEL' Mother killed by husband helped pal through tragedy.Byline: BY EOIN EOIN End of Instruction REYNOLDS A PAL of mum Kelly-Ann Corcoran has told how her "beautiful friend" loved her sons more than anything else in the world. Marian Nolan was a witness at the trial in Spain which ended with Kelly-Ann's husband Michael "Dermot" McArdle, 39, being convicted of killing his wife. Speaking out for the first time since the case, she described the mum of Mark, 11, and 10-year-old Paul as a "friend with the heart of gold and voice of an angel". She added: "Now that the dust is settling on the trial I find my thoughts focusing more on the loss of my dear friend than on retribution RETRIBUTION. 1. Kelly-Ann's life was tragically cut short when she plunged from a fourth floor hotel balcony in Marbella eight years ago. It happened during a row with McArdle, who was found guilty last week of her manslaughter manslaughter, homicide committed without justification or excuse but distinguished from murder by the absence of the element of malice aforethought. "When she walked into a room her presence was felt everywhere as she was warm, full of laughter and loved by everyone. "She was a wonderful mother to her boys. She loved nothing more than spending time with them and visiting her parents. "She had a special gift with all children and loved being a mother." She added Kelly-Ann came from a loving and caring family whose warmth and welcome is well known.
