'Lost' city castle works on show.

Welsh artist James Wolfenden James Paine Wolfenden (July 25, 1889 - April 8, 1949) was a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania.

James Wolfenden was born in Cardington, Pennsylvania.
, who has painted hundreds of city scenes, discovered a piece of work which had lain undiscovered in his studio for years.

It features the castle's clocktower with the Angel Hotel in the foreground and is on show at a Cardiff gallery - just as the castle's newly-refurbished tower can be seen in all its former glory.

Mr Wolfenden, 85, said artists need look no further than Cardiff for the perfect painting.

He added: 'I went from one end of the city to the other taking in the parks.

'I think I can safely say I've found all I've ever wanted to paint right here in Cardiff.'

Mr Wolfenden, who suff- ered a stroke in December, is hoping he will be strong enough to paint again soon.
