'Lion of Munster' to be beatified.


ROME -- Cardinal Clemens August von Galen--called the "Lion of Munster," Germany, where he was bishop from 1933 until 1946--is set to be beatified be·at·i·fy

 by the pope later this year. He was one of the few Catholic Church leaders in Germany who publicly spoke out against the Nazi regime.
