'Life less ordinary' for Norwegian trio out to rock the world.

POP trio Lorraine are finding life very disorientating right now.

The band, from Norway, are on an extensive tour of the UK, seducing music fans across the country with their unique brand of lush, uplifting pop music.

But they've been on the road for so long that towns are now blending into one and not even the capital is making much of an impression.

"This year started off with us going to South Africa South Africa, Afrikaans Suid-Afrika, officially Republic of South Africa, republic (2005 est. pop. 44,344,000), 471,442 sq mi (1,221,037 sq km), S Africa.  to shoot the video for our new single," says frontman front·man

"It's kind of like we don't belong anywhere, in a way," adds keyboard player Paal Myran Haaland. "We're travelling around and we haven't got any attachments. Nowhere is our home."

Ole nods: "Yeah, we just live in this Lorraine world. It's only when we have a day off that we realise we're in, say, London. This doesn't feel like London now."

Finally, third member, and official 'quiet one', guitarist Anders Winsents, speaks: "It's a life less ordinary."

It's not just the relentless promotion schedule for debut single I Feel It that is rocking the world of the three Norwegians.

As a new band, they're also having to get used to the innocuous in·noc·u·ous

But this isn't the first time the band have spent time in the UK. Having been together since 2000, they're not really a new band as such, but this is the first time they've been here with the backing of a major record label and for such a lengthy tour.

Ole, Anders, both 24, and Paal, 23, met as teenagers in their hometown of Bergen in Norway. The story of how Ole and Anders met has a too-cheesy-to-be-true ring to it, but the band insist it happened.

Bunking off school one day, Ole went into the guitar shop where Anders worked. He picked up an acoustic guitar and, at exactly the same time as Anders, began playing Stairway stairway

"We were playing together before we actually knew each other, or knew each other's pace, at all," smiles Ole.
