'LITTLE RED RIDING WOLF' SHOWS OTHER SIDE OF CLASSIC TALE.

PALMDALE - The not-quite classical tale of ``Little Red Riding Wolf'' - which tells the story of Little Red Riding Hood Noun 1. Little Red Riding Hood - a girl in a fairy tale who meets a wolf while going to visit her grandmother  with a wolf rather than a girl as the protagonist - takes over the stage tonight at the Palmdale Playhouse.

Little Red Riding Wolf journeys to grandmother's house, encountering hunters who want to kill her and a sick tree.

``It kind of has a story line that says, help out nature and let's not Let's Not is a science fiction short story by Isaac Asimov. It was first published in Boston University Graduate Journal in December 1954. It was written for no payment as a favour to the journal, and later appeared in the collection Buy Jupiter.  hurt the animals and protect our wildlife and our surroundings around us,'' said director Jon Jorgensen.

Starring in the title role is Ariane Lopez. She is joined in the cast by Lori Konyk as Mother Wolf, Roz Hernandez as Grandma Wolf, Michele Field as the tree, Jay Lay as the Forest Ranger forest ranger

West is also co-directing the show with Jorgensen.

``It's been very, very nice to see that we share a lot of the same thoughts and ideas for the set, for how the characters should be,'' said Jorgensen.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. today, Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Palmdale Playhouse, 38334 10th St. E.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for youth age 12 and younger. A free show is also being offered at 1 p.m. Saturday in conjunction with the Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  Arts Open House event.

Seats for the free 1 p.m. Saturday show will be available on a first- come, first-served basis. There is a limit of eight tickets per family.
