.

The boy and girl, both 15, were egged on by their pals at a college in Co Donegal.

The third-years appeared to perform the shocking act at the front of the class during an unsupervised free period which is supposed to be used for studying.

One angry parent told the Daily Mirror: "I'm shocked that this could have happened in a school.

"What were the teachers doing at the time?

"What do you expect if someone isn't looking after the students properly?"

It is feared images of the incident may have been captured on video mobile phones which means that they could be posted on to the internet.

The pair were reportedly caught by a passing teacher, who called in to the class after hearing a racket. The pair will remain suspended while the school carries out an inquiry.

Despite repeated phone calls by The Mirror to the school yesterday, no representatives responded.
