'KILLED BY OBSESSED EX' Court hears of spurned lover's hate-filled texts.

A JEALOUS ex-boyfriend murdered his former partner and her new man after attempting to sabotage her love life, a court heard yesterday.

David Mirfin David Mirfin (born April 18, 1985 in Sheffield) is a professional footballer, currently playing for Huddersfield Town in Coca-Cola League One.

At 6'3" and 13st, 'Mirf' plays as a centre half and has commanding presence.
, 51, was obsessed with Jane Wheatley and when she started a relationship with Gary Gardiner, 46, he knifed them both to death, it was claimed.

Mirfin had tried to stop Jane, 34, finding new love by changing her online dating profile, sending an unflattering picture of her to a potential partner and interrupting a pub date, Sheffield crown court heard.

He texted would-be lovers, claiming to be Jane, it was alleged. One text read: "I will get pregnant and have a kid and you will hate me for it. I only have sex on Sundays at the right time of the month. I'm a b***h."

Another said: "P*** off psycho and die." Prosecutor Alistair MacDonald Alistair Huistean Macdonald (18 May 1925 – 6 February 1999) was a British Labour Party politician.

Macdonald was educated at Dulwich College, Enfield Technical College and Corpus Christi College, Cambridge.
 told the jury: "This is the clearest possible evidence of his utter obsession and jealous reaction at her attempts to form a new relationship and consign consign v. 1) to deliver goods to a merchant to sell on behalf of the party delivering the items, as distinguished from transferring to a retailer at a wholesale price for re-sale. Example: leaving one's auto at a dealer to sell and split the profit.  their relationship to history. "He could not bear the prospect of Jane Wheatley seeing someone else."

Jane and boyfriend Gary were stabbed to death in her home in Nether Edge, Sheffield, in November last year-six months after she ended her four-year relationship with Mirfin.

She was knifed in the chest, neck and stomach, the juy was told.

Her ex, who went to the police after leaving the scene, claimed the pair were killed by two mystery intruders who knocked him out, the court heard.

Mirfin, of Low Edges, Sheffield, denies murder. The hearing continues.
