'Jealous' killer jailed for life.

A 'POSSESSIVE and jealous' boyfriend was found guilty of murder yesterday for a vicious knife attack on his former partner after she refused him a farewell hug.

Kieron Carpenter, 30, stabbed 21-year-old Emily Bates 23 times in the frenzied attack at the flat the couple shared in South Brink, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire on January 24 last year.

Jailing Carpenter for life at Northampton Crown Court, Judge Charles Wide QC said: 'You ended a young, happy, promising life. She did nothing to deserve or provoke what you did and you killed her in that horrific way.'

Carpenter, a former cannabis dealer and peace protester, was told he must serve a minimum of 13 years
