'Isle of tears' to mourn family lost in killer storm.

THE funerals of the MacPherson family tragically killed during storms in the Western Isles Western Isles or Western Islands, Scotland: see Hebrides, the.  will take place tomorrow.

The family went missing last Tuesday as 100mph-plus gales lashed the islands.

Tomorrow's service will take place at St Mary's Church, Griminish, Benbecula - the island north of South Uist and Calum's home.

Police will close the Griminish road between the church and the west junction with the B892 at Caley Timber at 9am. It will reopen for mourners to get to Nunton Cemetery afterwards, to bury Calum, 67.

The funeral procession will then continue south to Eochar and then on to Ardavachar cemetery for the burial of the family.
