DURING the 60s I saw the Beatles live in Stockton although I was unable to hear them for all the screaming girls.

We Boro lads and lasses used to hire a bus via Tony Gallagher from Barry Faulkner's Outlook Club in Middlesbrough to the Cavern in Liverpool and the Twisted Wheel in Manchester, all for 60s Beatles culture.

Macca's song of Let it Be at the Games'opening ceremony left me cold. Surely Imagine would have been a more appropriate world song? Come on Macca - I remember you as Lennon and McCartney, not McCartney and Lennon.
