"It's all very much in the air but I'll go over and see. People might say you're 30 and you've missed the boat but I don't feel that way at all. "I'm someone who really needs to be challenged and I think that trying to get into acting will satisfy that need." And it looks like acting isn't all that is on Thomas' to-do list - she plans to write a book and wants her own chat show. She said: "I was asked if I would consider writing a chick-lit book. "A work of fiction might be more of a challenge because I feel that I have already done the travel thing with Off The Beaten Track. "So I'm thinking about it. Everybody says the chat show is the pinnacle of a TV career and I do see that as my future. "But it is a long way off." Despite her success, Thomas revealed presenting was never high on her priorities and just fell into her lap. She added: "I was a lucky kid who got a lucky break. I never really considered myself a presenter. In a way, I was just living this dream and never saw it as a career." She will be off shortly to film a new series of hit travel show No Frontiers. The beautiful brunette has a busy schedule ahead of her for the next few months - but it doesn't look like a wedding is on the cards yet. The Carlow woman has been dating Garda Enda Waters for almost two years but said she is happy the way things are. She said: "A lot of friends have got married recently but I don't feel the urge to just yet. "Enda and I are still enjoying our relationship and I think you know when the time is right.
