KIERANS THE C Case woman raped by monster Simon McGinley revealed yesterday how she looked for her baby after having her abortion - because she didn't understand what was happening. The trauma of the then 13-year-old plunged the country into a constitutional crisis 12 years ago. Now she has spoken out, days after McGinley was jailed for the rape of an 86-year-old woman. The teenager became pregnant and while in care she was granted court approval to travel outside the country for the abortion. Her family challenged the move and the controversial legal battle became known as the C Case. The woman, now 25, told Pat Kenny's show on RTE (1) See runtime engine. I thought they were going to take the baby out, like there would be a living baby there. "I asked for the baby and there was no baby. I wouldn't have wanted to keep the baby. I would have put it up for adoption or something. "I never got over it. She and her family still get threatening calls. Earlier this week, McGinley was caged for the rape of the pensioner PENSIONER. One who is supported by an allowance at the will of another. It is more usually applied to him who receives an annuity or pension from the government. last year - but he will only serve 15 of the 21 years imposed. The C Case woman went to court to see him being sentenced and revealed: "Hearing him say he didn't do it just made me want to vomit vomit /vom·it/ (vom´it) 1. to eject stomach contents through the mouth. 2. matter expelled from the stomach by the mouth. . "It was horrible looking at his face again but I just had to go, it did give me a certain amount of closure." Recalling her own ordeal the woman said that McGinley had raped her about 20 times. She had been babysitting for McGinley and his wife and he insisted on driving her home. "He pulled me into the back of the van and raped me, started punching me around, drove off, did it again, drove off, did it again, he did it about 20 times that night maybe. "I tried to escape, he grabbed me by the throat, threw me in the back of the the van and raped me again. "He dropped me home and put a knife to my throat and said if I told anyone he would kill me." However, she said the one light in her life now is her five-year-old son. She added: "He is the best thing that ever happened to me."
