'I've had a wonderful time with the Royals'.For 17 years Norman Lloyd Edwards has been Her Majesty's man in Cardiff. During his time in the role, the former Lord Mayor of Cardiff has hosted every member of the royal family including the Queen several times on trips to open the National Assembly, the Wales Millennium Centre The Wales Millennium Centre (Welsh: Canolfan Mileniwm Cymru) is a centre for the performing arts located on the Cardiff Bay waterfront. Opened in November 2004, it has hosted performances of opera, ballet, dance, comedy and musicals. and the National Museum. Now, five months before he reaches the official retirement age of 75, he has been rewarded with the title Knight Commander of the Victorian Order, making him Captain Sir Norman Lloyd Edwards. He said: "I've had a wonderful time. I've got five more months before I have got to retire on age grounds but I would be very happy to continue doing it. "I've entertained every member of the Royal Family now, I've met them all.
