PC Rob Ward's message was apparently posted online shortly after the death of newspaper seller Ian Tomlinson.

The Facebook page was taken down yesterday, but it previously showed a message timed at 8.17pm on April 1, which read: "Can't wait to bash some long haired hippys up @ the G20." A Scotland Yard Scotland Yard, headquarters of the London Metropolitan Police. The term is often used, popularly, to refer to one branch, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Named after a short street in London, the site of a palace used in the 12th cent.  spokeswoman said: "A PC from Enfield was today given a written warning under public conduct regulations."
