During the two-day program, 15 speakers from AFS touched on the technical, management, governmental affairs and educational benefits the society provides, while creating a channel for chapter officers to exchange ideas and philosophies.

The meeting covered everything from how to pick speakers and promote meetings to issues such as sustaining a chapter during trying economic times. According to Leo Leo, in astronomy

 Baran, AFS director of membership services, the meeting's goal was to address or answer every question or concern about the society and to send every officer away with at least one outstanding idea they can apply immediately to their chapter.
