'HAWKS WIN BUT MIGHT LOSE BULGER JETHAWKS 3, VISALIA 1.

VISALIA - The JetHawks suffered their biggest loss of the season Friday before winning for the seventh time in eight games, 3-1 in 12 innings over Visalia at Recreation Park.

Pitcher Jason Bulger Jason Patrick Bulger (born December 6, 1978 in Lawrenceville, Georgia) is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Bulger played collegiate baseball at Valdosta (GA) State University. , a 2001 first-round draft pick who has been on the disabled list nearly two weeks with what was believed to be forearm tendinitis, suffered an injury far more serious, the Daily News has learned.

``It's very disappointing, but a lot of guys in our organization have come back even stronger after the surgery,'' Bulger said via telephone from the parent Arizona Diamondbacks' extended spring training facility in Tucson, Ariz., where he went to have the injury evaluated by team physician Dr. Michael Lee Michael Lee may refer to:

A converted infielder, Bulger didn't start pitching until his senior season at Valdosta State (Ga.), when he took over as the team's closer and wowed scouts with a 95 mph fastball.

In Friday's game, Marland Williams led off the 11th inning with a walk to extend his streak of consecutive games reaching base to 26. After stealing his 25th base, scored the game-winner from second when Sergio Santos (3 for 5) singled through the hole on the right side of the infield.

Carlton Wells (2-0) pitched four innings of scoreless relief, and Pete Sikaras threw one scoreless inning for his fifth save.

--Matchup: Right-hander Lance Cormier (4-3, 3.91 ERA) will pitch for the JetHawks when they play at Visalia tonight at 7. Right-hander Michael Esposito (2-2, 3.69) will pitch for the Oaks.
