LANCASTER - Matt Kata Matthew John Kata (born on March 14, 1978 in Fairview Park, Ohio) is a professional baseball player. Currently a free agent, he most recently appeared in Major League Baseball as a member of the the Pittsburgh Pirates. He stands 6'1" and weighs 195 lbs.  has given the JetHawks an edge against the Lake Elsinore Storm The Lake Elsinore Storm are a minor league baseball team in Lake Elsinore, California, USA. They are a "high-A" class team in the California League, and are a farm team of the San Diego Padres.  this season. But another big night from Kata wasn't enough for the JetHawks in a 7-4 loss Saturday to the Storm in front of 4,418 fans at Lancaster Municipal Stadium.
