On Sunday, it was center fielder Jamie Gann who made the key pitch for the JetHawks in a 7-6 victory over the Mudville Nine in front of 2,005 fans at Lancaster Municipal Stadium. After Mudville loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the ninth, Gann fielded a fly ball in midrange center field and threw a strike to JetHawks catcher J.D. Closser, who tagged out the would-be tying runner. The Nine had runners at second and third after the double play, but JetHawks reliever Javier Lopez struck out cleanup batter Andy Burress to end the game. ``It was tremendous,'' said Lopez of Gann's play. ``That's what you look for, having your teammates pick you up, and that's what he did tonight.''
