'HAWKS PLAY UP A STORM JETHAWKS 8, LAKE ELSINORE 4.

LAKE ELSINORE - The JetHawks are just full of surprises.

A team that manager Bill Plummer William Francis Plummer (born March 21, 1947 in Oakland, CA) was a catcher for the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, and the Seattle Mariners. While never a regular player (he was Johnny Bench's backup catcher during the Big Red Machine years), he did play solid defense.  admits he's having a tough time getting a good read on is suddenly playing some of its best ball at an improbable juncture.

On Day 12 of a grueling 13-game road trip Saturday, a seemingly energized JetHawks team defeated the Lake Elsinore Storm The Lake Elsinore Storm are a minor league baseball team in Lake Elsinore, California, USA. They are a "high-A" class team in the California League, and are a farm team of the San Diego Padres.  8-4 in front of 7,049 at The Diamond.

Lancaster (14-15) clinched a winning road trip as it won its third consecutive game and for the fourth time in five games.

Lake Elsinore (16-12), which had the California League's best record going into Saturday, lost consecutive games for just the second time this season.

Carter's two-run homer to right in the fifth gave the JetHawks a 5-1 lead. Danny Richar's two-run triple highlighted a three-run eighth, when the JetHawks broke open a 5-4 game.
