'HAWKS KEEP PACE WITH MINORS' WORST HIGH DESERT 6, JETHAWKS 1.

LANCASTER - It could be worse for the JetHawks. At least they're not the Charleston (W.Va.) Alleycats, the Bowie (Md.) Baysox or the Clearwater (Fla.) Phillies, who, entering Saturday night, were the only teams in minor-league baseball with worse records than Lancaster.

But that's small comfort for the JetHawks, who lost 6-1 to the High Desert Mavericks The High Desert Mavericks are a minor league baseball team in Adelanto, California, USA. Their Major League parent club is the Seattle Mariners. They are a "high-A" class team in the California League, and had been a farm team of the Kansas City Royals since 2005 before the switch.  in front of 3,102 at Lancaster Municipal Stadium.

Lancaster (11-25), which was held to three hits, has lost 11 of its past 12 home games and three of four overall.
