With the victory, the JetHawks (23-20) improved to 4-2 against Lake Elsinore (31-12). They are the only team in the California League with a winning record against the Storm.

--Roster moves: Pitcher Scott Barber was sent to the Arizona Diamondbacks' extended spring-training facility in Tucson, Ariz. Barber, who has been used exclusively as a reliever in Lancaster, will be developed as a starter. Replacing him on the JetHawks' roster will be Greg Valera, who was on the disabled list with bone spurs in his (right) pitching elbow.

--Matchup: Left-hander Doug Slaten (4-2, 4.53 ERA) will pitch for the JetHawks when they open a four-game series at Rancho Cucamonga at 7:15 tonight. Left-hander Jeff Hundley (0-0, 4.00) will pitch for the Quakes.
