REVAMPED facilities have helped a South Wales South Wales south nsud m du Pays de Galles  council's leisure department slash nearly 10% from carbon footprint.

Cardiff's leisure services department spends pounds 500,000 on energy every year and has cut its estimated carbon dioxide carbon dioxide, chemical compound, CO2, a colorless, odorless, tasteless gas that is about one and one-half times as dense as air under ordinary conditions of temperature and pressure.  emissions by 8.4% over the last six months. Councillor Nigel Howells said: "We are proud of members at each facility for sticking to goals and not exceeding limits, creating a better environment for everyone in the Cardiff area, and setting high standards for years to come."
