Cortec Corporation has announced environmental enhancements to its EcoLine[R] Long Term Rust Preventive. The product has now been verified as 85% bio-based through tests conducted at Iowa State University as part of the EPA's Federal Bio-based Product Preferred Procurement Program (FB4P). Utilizing soybean derivative methyl esters in conjunction with Cortec's Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibiting (VpCI[TM]) Technology, EcoLine Long Term Rust Preventive is designed to provide multi-metal corrosion protection for up to 24 months indoors and up to six months outdoors.
