Response to the Samuel Clemens High School gradcast is overwhelming. SCUCISD officials have received calls and e-mails thanking them for online graduation video access. A hospital-bound mother, for example, watched online as her daughter received her diploma. Viewers across the globe - including Afghanistan and Belgium - have also attended the commencement online.

"More than a quarter of our students are military connected, because of this, it's important for us to find new ways to meet our community needs," said Dr. Belinda Pustka, superintendent, Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District. "Being the first school district in our area to stream a graduation live over the Internet is truly a dream come true for our Technology Department. Without the support of VBrick and AT&T our gradcast would not have been possible."

"Access to the graduation online illustrates how digital video eliminates geographical and other barriers by connecting people to important family milestones," said Marci Powell, director of education advocacy, AT&T Southwest. "Digital video establishes new touch points for work, education, and personal endeavors that convey the emotion of graduations and other pinnacle events."

SCUCISD officials set-up and recorded the event using the VBrick video appliance and three video cameras connected to an AV board.
