'Glue killer' wins jail Christian bid; COURTS.A KILLER who glued his victim's lips together as she lay dying is set to be allowed to register in prison as simply a Christian, it emerged yesterday. Adrian Hayes, 35, launched a High Court challenge over his religious status and worship rights within Maghaberry Jail where he is serving a minimum 17-year sentence. He was convicted of murdering Julie Tennant, 21, by beating and suffocating suf·fo·cate v. suf·fo·cat·ed, suf·fo·cat·ing, suf·fo·cates v.tr. 1.
