HORSHAM, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 23, 2001

Fuji Photo Film U.S.A. Implementing Astea eCRM Solution to Manage

Call Centers and Field Service for Commercial Imaging and Graphic

Systems Divisions

Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc., who earlier this year introduced its new theme for innovation and quality--'Fujifilm. Get The e Picture'--has further broadened its definition of 'e' to include 'e-CRM' from Astea International Inc. (Nasdaq:ATEA).

Fujifilm is implementing the integrated Call Center Automation (iCCA), Field Service Automation (iFSA) and WebWareRU components of Astea's AllianceEnterprise eCRM Suite(TM) to support all aspects of customer service for the company's Commercial Imaging and Graphic Systems divisions.

The Commercial Imaging Division serves businesses with storefront and kiosk photo labs for consumer photo finishing, while the Graphic Systems Division serves business customers such as printing companies.

While autonomous divisions, both share the same support systems for call centers to manage hundreds of direct and third-party field service technicians, and have for the last two years been thoroughly investigating an upgrade to their customer service infrastructure.

Implementation of the Astea eCRM suite extends our 'e-era initiatives' to new levels of support for the equipment used by retailers and our business customers to take advantage of the e-solutions."

Steve Pagano, Commercial Imaging Division director of technical service agreed, saying, "Our business continues to evolve, so flexibility was among the key criteria when evaluating systems. AllianceEnterprise offers both the functionality to better serve customers today and the flexibility to adapt our service processes to future trends in our industry and new eCRM technology as it is introduced."

Pagano added, "In addition to AllianceEnterprise's capabilities, short- and long-term, we are impressed by the level of expertise demonstrated by Astea's representatives. They know software and customer service. Their experience with automating customer service processes is evident. Their readiness to understand our requirements, share insights, make recommendations and work with us to implement a best solution for our customers and our organization stands out from among the vendors we evaluated."

"Astea's philosophy is to work in partnership with customers," said Jacques Cormier, vice president of customer services at Astea International. "The team at Fujifilm charged with selecting a new system was very thorough when defining performance criteria and expectations from a new solution. Our team did a great job of demonstrating how the out-of-box capabilities engineered into AllianceEnterprise applied to their requirements. We are now at the stage where the two teams have come together as one to launch the beginning of Fujifilm's e-era in customer service."
