'Dr Evil' ditches domination dream; FORT DUNLOP.


A BIRMINGHAM-BASED company has found its "mojo" by using its boss's resemblance Resemblance may refer to:

Staff spotted John Tapline, managing director of web firm AboutMyArea.co.uk, was a dead ringer for Dr Evil from the Austin Powers films.

Now he is starring in a new campaign to link up worthy causes with willing volunteers.

The Fort Dunlop-based company runs the UK's largest network of local, community websites and hopes to drum up a million volunteer hours to support community projects.

Marketing director Nigel Ackroyd, who with the help of a wig took on the role of Austin Powers, said: "Dr Evil appears to have seen the error of his ways. He has shelved plans for world domination “World conquest” redirects here. For other uses, see World domination (disambiguation).

The concept of world domination (sometimes world conquest) has long been a popular theme in both history and fiction.
