'Designing for Durability' is theme of ACSeries scheduled for July 23-25 in Seattle, WA.As part of its popular Advancements in Coatings Series (ACSeries), the FSCT FSCT Federation of Societies for Coating Technology FSCT Fire Support Control Terminal will host a three-day symposium on "Coating Wood and Wood Composites: Designing for Durability." The program will be held on July 23-25, 2007, at the Doubletree Seattle Airport, Seattle, WA. Made possible through a collaboration between the FSCT and the Journal of Architectural Coatings (JAC JAC Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy JAC Joint Astronomy Centre JAC Joint Advisory Committee (Board of Directors for SEI) JAC John Abbott College JAC Juvenile Assessment Center JAC Joint Analysis Center ), the three-day symposium is designed for all those involved in the ever-growing area of wood and wood composites, their design and their protection. Attendees will represent the entire supply chain, including coatings formulators, laboratory and field testers, architects, specifiers, building maintenance personnel, paint contractors and applicators, raw material suppliers, and end users. The symposium will offer a unique two-track program, with one track certified by the American Institute of Architects The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is a professional organization for architects in the United States. Organized in 1857, the Institute conducts various activities and programs to support the profession and enhance its public image, including periodically awarding the AIA (AIA AIA - Application Integration Architecture ). Highlights include plenary lectures focusing on topics critical towards understanding how to design for durability, as well as tabletop exhibits and a poster session.
