'Billabong Odyssey' Movie Opens Friday, Nov. 7; Big Wave Feature Film Garners Exceptional Reviews.

Filmed over the course of two years in 35MM and high-definition 24p digital formats, the big screen feature documents the dramatic life-or-death adventures of a team of surfers/explorers on a quest to find and ride the biggest waves on the planet.

Originally slated to open in a dozen markets, strong demand from theater bookers has pushed the number of screens for this weekend to 27, stretching from Hawaii to New York. This is over five times the number of opening theaters for any surf-themed feature released in 2003.
