Danielle, 22, told Channel 4's Cutting Edge Beauty Queens And Bloodshed, that she wanted to quit because of the controversy surrounding the decision to hold the competition in Nigeria. She said she told bosses she was so disillusioned that she said she would only appear in the TV final if the judges agreed not to vote for her. In a statement Miss Morley hit back: "This is untrue...We have the judges' marking cards to prove it. Miss England did not make the top 20 even in the internet vote." The 95 contestants were forced to flee Nigeria after their presence sparked religious riots which left 250 dead. The contest moved to a London venue last December.
