'Ban kids chocolate with toys' HEALTH.

CHILDREN'S chocolate containing plastic toys should be banned, medical experts said yesterday.

 McKinney warned it only takes four minutes to kill a small child if they choke (jargon) choke - To fail to process input or, more generally, to fail at any endeavor.

 on the toy inside some treats.

The consultant at Altnagelvin Hospital said: "These products should be removed from the shops, as a child can choke on parts."

Joanne Doherty, of the Western Health and Social Care Trust, said: "People give these treats to their children without realising the dangers they pose."

The experts want UK law to be in line with America, where sweets and chocolate with toys inside are already illegal.

Dr McKinney added: "Between January last year and May 2008 we treated 300 children under the age of 11 for choking-related injuries... prevention is the way forward."
