 are proud to announce the winners of three scholarships, each worth $1,000: Alice Green, from Louisiana State University Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College, generally known as Louisiana State University or LSU, is a public, coeducational university located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and the main campus of the Louisiana State University System. ; Angela Kelley, from Arizona State University Arizona State University, at Tempe; coeducational; opened 1886 as a normal school, became 1925 Tempe State Teachers College, renamed 1945 Arizona State College at Tempe. . Green plans to sit for the CPA (Computer Press Association, Landing, NJ) An earlier membership organization founded in 1983 that promoted excellence in computer journalism. Its annual awards honored outstanding examples in print, broadcast and electronic media. The CPA disbanded in 2000.  exam in November and work with a local CPA following graduation. She also aims to earn a doctoral degree in accounting.

The third recipient, Doirin Eddy, is a junior accounting and information technology major with a 3.97 GPA. Eddy plans to specialize in providing computer hardware and software, and accounting advice to small businesses of 100 employees or less.

The "Account for Your Future" scholarship program is sponsored by AccountingNet, John Wiley & Sons and KPMG, and is run twice annually. This term's program drew more than 1,700 applicants worldwide.

Sophomore, junior, senior and graduate-level accounting students are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Applicants are evaluated on academic record, career goals and communication skills, as well as on their understanding and interest in the accounting/technology relationship. The scholarship review committee includes members from AccountingNet, John Wiley & Sons and KPMG.
