AOL Music On Demand offers anytime access to the best of AOL(R) Music's original programming, including AOL Music Sessions - intimate, in-studio performances from today's top artists - and the AOL Music LIVE! weekly concert series, as well as today's most popular music videos.

New Markets

AOL also announced today that AOL Music On Demand added New York and New Jersey to the list of markets where the service is available. That brings the total number of markets to 30.

Nearly four million Time Warner Digital Cable subscribers across the country now have commercial-free access to AOL Music On Demand at no additional charge through Time Warner Cable's "DTV (Digital TeleVision) Transmitting TV using digital signals. The major DTV standards are ATSC (North America), DVB (Europe) and ISDB (Japan). All three use MPEG-2 video compression and Dolby Digital audio compression. New Videos

The wide range of music videos from other top artists available on demand, include: Lloyd Banks, U2, Destiny's Child, Ja Rule, Luis Miguel, Ryan Cabrera, Ashlee Simpson, Sarah McLachlan, Outkast, Velvet Revolver, Linkin Park & Jay-Z, Hoobastank, Shania Twain, Bacilos, New Found Glory New Found Glory (formerly A New Found Glory) is an American pop punk band, that formed in 1997 in Coral Springs, Florida, and is currently based in California. History , Brooks & Dunn and many more.

New Name

The service, originally called "My Music Channel," has been renamed "AOL Music On Demand" to better reflect a new strategy to make AOL branded experiences available to a broader audience of non members. AOL Music On Demand services enable consumers to access AOL Music's comprehensive library of music videos across a variety of devices - from televisions, connected home entertainment devices and traditional PCs.

AOL will begin to roll out the new name in existing Time Warner Cable markets across the country this month followed by regional advertising and marketing campaigns with the new branding in February. In addition to a broad selection of music videos and performances, Time Warner Cable customers accessing AOL Music On Demand will be able to learn more about the AOL service.
