'A CHRISTMAS CAROL' TIMES 2.Byline: Daily News NEWHALL - Santa Clarita's two community theaters both will present versions of Charles Dickens' ``A Christmas Carol'' this holiday season, with the Canyon Theatre Guild Theatre Guild U.S. theatrical society. Founded in New York City in 1918 by Lawrence Langner (1890–1962) and others, the group proposed to produce high-quality, noncommercial plays. offering the classic version and the Repertory East Playhouse offering a comedic twist on the holiday favorite. The story of Ebenezer Scrooge and his change of heart in ``A Christmas Carol,'' will be presented by the Theatre Guild from Nov. 25 through Dec. 22. Under the direction of Greg and Patti Finley, with assistance from Jim Robinson, the cast of ``A Christmas Carol'' will feature Michael Davies as Scrooge. The three ghostly spirits who visit him are Jeannie Jones Johnson as the Ghost of Christmas Past Ghost of Christmas Past the Scrooge’s first monitor; spirit presenting past. [Br. Jason Endicott and Jill Kocalis Pappas play Bob Cratchit and wife, and Liam Johnson plays Tiny Tim. ``A Christmas Carol'' will be presented at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2 p.m. Sundays and 6:30 p.m. Dec. 11 and 18 at the guild, 24242 San Fernando Road San Fernando Road is a major street in the city and county of Los Angeles. It starts off in Castaic as The Old Road, passing through Santa Clarita and the Newhall Pass, where upon its intersection with Sierra Highway near the junction of the Golden State (I-5) and the , Newhall. This version of ``A Christmas Carol,'' written by David McGillivray and Walter Zerlin Jr., is a comedic retelling re·tell·ing n.
