TORMENTED Peter Andre poured out his heart about his troubled relationship with wife Katie Price in a song he recorded six months ago.

His lyrics to a track named Call Me A Doctor tell of the anguish of leaving someone you really love but feel you cannot trust. Peter wrote: She was my girl, my closest friend, my honey, This girl was all I ever needed, What will I do now that I'm leaving? It hurts bad 'cos I was true to her, I'm regretting having anything to do with her.

In another verse, 36-year-old Peter tells of the pain he is feeling. He sings: I guess I gotta just walk away, The doctor says there ain't no medication for my pain, So I'm done baby, I'm gone.

NONSENSE Call Me A Doctor was recorded in November for Peter's new album, which is yet to be released.

But it shows how his relationship with mum of three Katie, 30, was deeply in trouble even back then.

Another song that Peter wrote in March contains a heartfelt plea for a new beginning. The chorus of Replay says: I want it back to where you used to be, Let's stop this nonsense and restart the dream.

A source said: "Peter puts his heart and soul into his music and the lyrics were really personal to him.

"It's pretty obvious they are about Katie and the problems they've been having. But it'shocking to say the least that he was writing all this stuff so long ago.

"It's clear their relationship has been fraught for some time." Peter ended their three and a half year marriage following a bitter row in a Los Angeles boutique that was aired on their ITV2 reality show last week.

He is also said to have been furious after keen horsewoman Katie was pictured chatting intimately to leading dressage rider Spencer Wilton during a night out.

It is not the first time that Peter and Katie have parted after a row.

They spent five nights apart two weeks ago following a bust-up. Katie, who found fame as glamour girl Jordan, spent the separation at their home in Woldingham, Surrey. Peter stayed with one of his brothers.

A source said: "Jordan refused to leave the house for most of the time and only emerged once when she went down to Brighton to see her mum.

"It was just a silly row but neither of them would budge and Katie ordered him out.

"They just needed some time apart. While they made up on that occasion, things were still frosty between them afterwards and that underlying tension never really went away." Katie was last night at a secret location with their children Junior, three, and twomonth-old Princess Tiaamii. Harvey, her seven-year-old son by footballer Dwight Yorke, was at school in Kent.

She has cancelled two weeks of appointments - including a trip to Ireland to promote her bed linen range.

Peter is said to have brushed off Katie's attempts at a reconciliation. He has allegedly told her: "It's over between us.

All I care about now are the kids." A source said that Katie has repeatedly texted and phoned him. The source added: "They are still civil and talking, but it's all about their children now.

"He refuses to talk about the status of their relationship which is really upsetting Katie. It's not World War Three but you wouldn't want to see them in the same house together." Grim-faced Peter spent yesterday morning at the family home in Surrey.

He left at 1.15pm but refused to talk about his marriage. He drove off in his black Bentley convertible with his brother.

A source said: "Peter has been telling his brother that he's looking forward to being a single man again. There are lots of very different emotions running through his head.

"But he's glad it's finally out there in the open and he can look to the future.

"He still cares for Katie but his priority is seeing his children." Katie has said she is heartbroken after Peter called time on their marriage.

She said: "Pete is the love of my life. We have children and I'm devastated by his decision to separate and divorce me as I married him for life.

"This is not what I want. The decision has been taken out of my hands.

"I will not comment further or do any interviews regarding the separation but I will always love my Pete."

DEVASTATED

The couple met in January 2004 as contestants on ITV1's I'm A Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here! They wed in September of the following year in a lavish ceremony at Highclere Castle in Berkshire.

But their marriage has been marred by rows about alleged flirting on both sides.

Katie has admitted: "He thought I was always flirting and interested in other men.

And if I'm honest I thought he was doing the same too. It's just too draining." Peter could now fight for a pounds 6million slice of Katie's pounds 40million fortune - half the amount she is thought to have made during their time together.

Their assets include the sprawling pounds 2million Woldingham mansion, thought to be in both their names.

The couple's break-up was officially announced yesterday in a statement which read: "Peter Andre and Katie Price are separating after three-anda-half years of marriage.

"They have both requested that the media respect their family's privacy at this difficult time."
