''The Biz'' Online Reality Competition Kicks off Revealing the Top 25 Contestants Ready to Make It Big in the Music Business.


NEW YORK -- "The Biz," a new online reality series searching for the next music mogul produced by AOL (A division of Time Warner, Inc., New York, NY, www.aol.com) The world's largest online information service with access to the Internet, e-mail, chat rooms and a variety of databases and services. (R) Music and Warner Music Group Warner Music Group (WMG) is one of the four major record labels.

Warner Music Group also has a publishing arm, Warner/Chappell Music, which dates back to 1929, when Jack Warner, president of Warner Bros. Pictures Inc.
, will kick off the online portion of the competition when the Top 25 contestants are revealed on September 15. These 25 men and women, chosen from the thousands of hopefuls who applied, will participate in online tasks for a panel of expert judges and audience of viewers. "The Biz," is a co-production of AOL Music and Warner Music Group with executive producers Lyor Cohen, Chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of U.S. Recorded Music for Warner Music Group, and Kevin Conroy, Executive Vice President of the AOL Media Network, in conjunction with critically acclaimed Stick Figure Productions.
